Went for 赞美之泉's worship session recently
Felt God's presence within the compound.
There was a moment of healing, where the worship leaders requested us to place our hands on the place we want healing in.
I placed it on my throat cos it was hurting from singing.
And boom no more sore throat.
Man I was so surprised and happy hahahah
Then continued singing even louder and it came back hahaha
There was another moment of worship where I lifted both of my hands up
Then suddenly I felt the palm of my hands getting warm
but the rest of my body cold (air con).
莫非... 神灵的火..??
May God bless them and their tour around the world.
I want to fly well.

Memverse
Gone were the days in Sunday School where I memorised bible verses from the heart
I have no idea why but it never occurred to me that I should memorise bible verses
Until this week, I went for a discipleship group
The leader spoke that it has been on her resolution to memorise bible verses since a looong time ago but she never got to it
I guess memorising bible verses is super useful when you're like down and need some encouragement or renewal of faith or need a moment of awe
It's about time I put it on my list as well
May the Lord grant me perseverance, consistency and commitment.

10km
Was persuaded into signing up for a 10km marathon.
I was and am never a runner.
Waiting for God's miracle to perform on me......

life in a village
Went to a village in Vietnam recently for volunteer work.
Stayed for 10 days and the 10 days allowed me to see how life was like, in a village.
Early working hours, cold showers, red soil under your feet, soiled clothes.
Will I ever get used to such lifestyle?
To lead a life without warm showers, no internet access, little source of entertainment and a lack of sanitary facilities?
I've been thinking. About the money I'm spending here. Is it necessary to spend it on such? And I feel guilty.. :/ (thinking of people in the village with little to eat and unwillingly parting 20c just to go to the public shower area to shower)
Let's all be appreciative of what we have, prevent wastage (of food or hard earned money) and give thanks to the Lord for what he has given us.
God has also given me a new interest in volunteer work, which, I hope I will and I shall continue to do in Singapore.

ID
Went to a home for the intellectually disabled recently.
The nurse kept reminding me how fortunate we are, to be normal, to be speaking well, to be walking well
I looked around the room and there they were, the elderly, engaging in simple manipulative activities, throwing and catching of ball and learning how to dress up.
Such simple things which we have learnt when we are young and take for granted.
Speaking can be a mean feat for them as they struggle to understand and process and also communicate their thoughts.
This old man who is considered high functioning was playing with LEGO blocks. He wanted the blocks across the table so he said, 'Lego, lego,' while reaching for it. The nurse brought it over to his side, took a red coloured Lego.
Nurse: What is this?
Man: Red colour
Nurse: Yes I know this is red colour, but what is the name of it?
Man: Red colour
Nurse: /takes a blue block/ What colour is this?
Man: Red colour
It made me laugh for a while but also think.
Let's all just cherish what we are given and have, instead of asking for more.

human trafficking
we live in such luxury and yet we still complain and keep wanting more.
and there we have people in poor countries struggling to feed themselves and then deceived into selling themselves.
we decide our own path, our future but those people? they are poor and they take up anything that is offered, just for money.
can we all appreciate what we have and stop asking for more?

let's do this.
I want to be a person who give thanks for every minute of my existence on this world.
I'm here for a reason and I want to make changes in people's life.
I'm working towards it^^
I can do this.
